Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Architect will be involved in implementing and supporting the Department’s Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Solution for the Florida PALM Project. The candidate will work closely with the Project’s stakeholders, including the Project Director, architects, and other team members.

Responsibilities
• Implementation & Support:
• Provide subject matter expertise for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementations.
• Recommend solutions and resolve complex challenges.
• Assist in data modeling, metadata management, and database administration.
• Analyze database tables, materialized views, data sets, and reports to identify gaps and resolve issues.
• Collaboration:
• Work with other team members and stakeholders, including external vendors such as Accenture LLP.
• Coordinate with state policy groups to solve complex issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Best Practices:
• Share lessons learned and industry best practices to promote efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Reporting:
• Use Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and other Oracle tools to support reporting needs.
• Knowledge Transfer:
• Assist in the documentation and transfer of knowledge to ensure successful project continuity.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with:
• Data Warehouse implementation.
• Database design and administration.
• Using Oracle Business Intelligence tools like OAC, OBIEE, ODI, etc.
• Experience in:
• Data modeling (logical and semantic).
• Metadata management.
• SQL, OLAP, ETL processes.
• Using star and snowflake schemas.
• Analytical skills to identify data gaps and resolve issues.

Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience working with state or government projects of similar size.
• Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar.
• Familiarity with tools like PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Location: Tallahassee, Florida.

Key Deliverables
• Analysis and evaluation of the Data Warehouse data model and security configurations.
• Resolution of identified gaps.
• Detailed knowledge transfer documentation.
