Job Description: Mental Health Professional
Location: Shadithya Psychiatric Hospital
Reports to: Hospital Manager
Key Responsibilities:
• Community Outreach and Awareness Programs:
• Plan, schedule, and execute mental health awareness programs in schools, colleges, corporate offices, and industries.
• Conduct educational sessions on the impact of alcohol and drug abuse and strategies for prevention.
• Professional Networking and Hospital Promotion:
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists, and clinical psychologists to promote Shadithya Hospital's services.
• Meet with Duty Medical Officers (DMOs) at prominent and 24-hour hospitals to enhance referral networks.
• Home Visits and Assessments:
• Provide home-based mental health assessments for individuals in need.
• Offer consultations for admission inquiries and recommend appropriate treatment plans when necessary.
• Hospital Engagement:
• Visit the hospital as required to support patients, staff, and hospital operations.
• Actively participate in all hospital-related events and programs.
• Crisis Intervention:
• Respond to mental health hotline inquiries promptly.
• Deliver mental health first aid and guidance to individuals in crisis.
• Administrative and Reporting Duties:
• Maintain detailed records of outreach programs, professional meetings, and patient interactions.
• Prepare and submit reports on outreach activities, outcomes, and future plans.
Key Competencies:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of mental health issues, substance abuse, and treatment modalities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to travel for outreach and home-based services.
• Crisis management and mental health first aid expertise.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or MWS
• Minimum experience in mental health services or community outreach preferred.
This role is integral to the hospital’s mission of fostering mental health awareness and providing accessible mental health care in the community.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Internship
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
