We are offering a contract for a Software Developer role in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role will be focused on Python, Java, SQL, Linux, AWS within a dynamic and fast-paced industry. Software Developer IV – Python, Java, SQL, Linux, AWS
Location: 100% Remote – must work Eastern hours
Duration: Contract expected to extend through 2026
Interview Process: 1-2 rounds of interviews consisting of 30 mins – 1 hr.
Project Description
We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our big data platform and software development project. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a large amount of data from various devices and contribute to the design and optimization of a data flow and pipeline stored in a data warehouse. The resulting data is used by multiple teams for various data analysis.
Daily Responsibilities
Software development and testing. This includes design coding, testing, and providing production support.
The project is already in production, the hired candidate will be responsible for enhancements, new requests, and support.
Requirements
Required Skills:
• Python (version 11) – as critical as Java
• Java – as critical as Python
• SQL
• Linux
• AWS – S3, Kubernetes, EC2, Lambda, Flink, etc.
• Experience/knowledge of ETL processes or Big Data is preferred.
Additional Information
• The role is 100% remote anywhere in the contiguous US.
• The role requires working in the EST time zone.
• Consideration will be given to candidates from level 2 to level 4 experience.
• Fresh graduates may be considered based on their talent.
• Preferred candidates will have experience in ETL processes and Big Data.
• The candidate should be more inclined towards a Software Developer role rather than an operations role.
