Mission Software Engineer

Job description
As a Mission Software Engineer on our clients Engineering team, you will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Iterating on core data mesh technology to make optimal use of degraded networks
• Developing connectors and APIs for legacy and cutting edge systems to integrate with Lattice
• Deploying software to non-standard environments
• Thinking on their feet to bridge the gap between the software and a customer need and environment
• Integrating MOD data systems
• Building algorithms to exploit data hydrating the system and evaluate courses of action for operators
• Create data flow pipelines that cross horizontal networked systems and vertically across security domains

CORE REQUIREMENTS
• Holds UK Secret Clearance
• Must have a Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• At least 4-10+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
• A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
