Day in the Life of a Software/Computer Science Engineer Intern

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to solve difficult problems. From tiltrotor technology to modular complex electronics systems, our interns will work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs and functions, to bring vertical lift solutions to our customers. We have numerous projects available, including development of ground based and airborne system software, software validation and verification testing of flight critical and aircraft mission systems, and implementation of Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) principles. At Bell you will have the opportunity to combine your passion and knowledge to solve some of the world’s most difficult challenges and help bring next generation rotorcraft technology to market. You will get to work with great people who share your passion for new ideas. You will have opportunities to improve on the past and leave your mark on the future.

Qualifications

What You Will Need
• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Software Engineering required.
• Minimum 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship or previous Bell employment.
• Ability to complete entire internship. June 2, 2026 to August 8, 2026.

What Will Make You Stand Out
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes, from requirements through verification.
• Software / coding experience using C , C#, Matlab and other industry standard development environments.
• Control system design and modeling using Simulink, and implementation on hardware.
• Software verification test experience in high fidelity hardware-in-the-loop (HILS) environments using integrated flight dynamic modeling of air vehicle performance
