Role: Supply Chain Data architect

A supply chain data architect's job description may include:

Data modelling: Designing and building data models that meet the needs of the business. This may include visualizing and designing the company's enterprise data management framework.

Database architecture: Developing database architecture strategies and roadmaps to support business goals and innovation. This may include overseeing the design and management of enterprise data systems.

Database solutions: Analyzing client operations, determining structural requirements to maintain databases, and installing database systems by developing flowcharts.

Predictive analytics: Using machine learning algorithms to analyze data and predict future outcomes.

Stakeholder engagement: Regularly communicating with stakeholders to keep them informed about data management strategies and developments. This may also include collaborating with department leads to understand their data needs and ensure the data architecture supports these requirements.

Other skills that may be important for a supply chain data architect include:

Analytical reasoning: Ensuring the integrity of data at both the micro and macro levels, and ensuring that systems and bulk data are safe, secure, and organized

Communication: Negotiating with stakeholders, understanding the needs of all parties, managing risks, and product delivery

Problem-solving: Regularly encountering challenging situations that require quick and reliable judgement to resolve.
