JOB TITLE: Principal Full Stack Developer – Terminal BL

LOCATION: Manchester Office - Hybrid - Minimum 2 days in the office

REPORTING TO: Scrum Master

DIRECT REPORTS: None

JOB PURPOSE: As Principal FS Developer you will be designing and developing mission critical, line-of-business applications using full stack frameworks. You will work with software architects to specify the design of the products to be implemented. You will also be a lead member of one of our Dev teams providing technical coaching and mentoring to the other team members.

ADBSAFEGATE has several airport apron and terminal based products that are being transformed from traditional server/thick client technologies to latest browser based MFE and microservice architectures.

Working with developers across multiple European locations you will be implementing the new features and functionality required in each new product increment, released following a regular iterations schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Production of software designs in conjunction with software architects.
• Leading Refinement and Implementation of new features in accordance with the products defined architecture to meet the product vision / goal meeting all quality and definition of done criteria.
• Applying an in depth understanding of micro-service and micro-frontend architectures to all design and development.
• Delivering the product increment as defined in the sprint goal or iteration.
• Dynamic work ethic able to investigate and fix high priority bugs following service desk triage and Product Owner approval.
• Raising issues as they arise with the Scrum Master / Product Owner, focussed on providing effective and efficient solutions.
• Leading workshops and R&D on future technology choices and architectures with Product Owners, Architects and PdMs.
• Completing research projects to assist in the wider business making informed decisions on future technology choices and direction.

SKILLS /EXPERIENCE

Essential:
• 3+ years Angular, Typescript, Nest.js, CSS implementation experience in a MFE / Microservice architecture.
• Docker / Kubernetes / RHEL containerised deployments.
• Azure cloud.
• AZDO workflow management.
• Experience working with Cypress automated test suites.
• Good understanding of best practice regarding software design, including around UX / Front end.       
• Experience of continuous integration, delivery, and deployment techniques (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
• Kanban and/or Scrum agile working practices.
• Clean Architecture software design
• SOLID Principles

Desirable:
• Key cloak
• Progress SQL
• RabbitMQ
• REDIS
• Karma Jasmin / Jest
• Experience of NIST SSDF
• Experience of airport systems including browser-based desktop and mobile UI’s
