Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Technician or Sonographer to join our esteemed healthcare team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality ultrasound and EKG services across assigned nursing home facilities, ensuring optimal patient care and accurate diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct all ultrasounds and EKGs in designated nursing homes.
• Upload images and essential information into the Medical Record system.
• Ensure timely reading and transmission of test results to appropriate facilities.
• Monitor imaging screens during scans to guarantee diagnostic quality, making necessary equipment adjustments.
• Observe and support patients during examinations, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
• Deliver sonograms along with oral or written summaries of findings to attending physicians for medical evaluation.
• Select appropriate settings on ultrasound equipment and adjust patient positioning to capture optimal images.
• Operate ultrasound machinery to generate and document images of various bodily functions and structures.

Required Skills
• Sonography certification (ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is mandatory.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in ultrasound technology.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Proficiency in ultrasound procedures including ECHO, Carotid Doppler, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasound, Venous Doppler, Arterial Doppler, Bladder Ultrasound, and EKG.
• Experience with LG and Butterfly IQ ultrasound systems is preferred.

Qualifications
• Valid Sonography certification (ARDMS).
• At least one year of experience directly related to ultrasound and EKG procedures.

Compensation And Benefits
• Compensation: \(35.00 per ultrasound, \)8.00 per EKG.
• Average patient load: 20 patients per day.
• Two weeks of paid time off (PTO).
• Health insurance with standard coverage for employees; dependents can be added at employee’s expense.
• Paid holidays for the six primary legal holidays.
• Federal mileage reimbursement of 65.5 cents per mile (effective after 30 miles daily).
