Qualifications
Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)
Established proficiency in subject matter
Detail-oriented and highly dependable
Ability to communicate effectively
Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring
If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification
National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
Benefits
Pay rate:
$22 per hour standard
$23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
$24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor
Additional hours, virtually, available for those that work for our in-person school sites
Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs

Job Details
• Schedule: Mon/Wed/Thurs, 1PM-4PM (some sites may require work on Tues or Fri)
• +-15 hours per week
• Work Locations: LAUSD school sites in the Lynwood area.
