Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Best Western Glasgow Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. This role includes a variety of tasks such as joinery, painting, and general maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Carry out necessary repairs, including joinery, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and facilities.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety and security protocols.
• Work closely with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
• Perform general cleaning tasks as required.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
• Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong skills in joinery, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
