Job Overview:

As a Sr. Software Engineer - Magento 2, you will play a critical role in leading the technical design and development of high-performance Magento 2 solutions. This position is perfect for a tech-savvy leader who is hands-on, experienced in eCommerce, and passionate about mentoring a team of developers. You will work remotely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of Magento-based projects that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and technical strategy for Magento 2 projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Architect and design Magento 2 solutions in alignment with business needs and eCommerce best practices.
• Manage and mentor a team of Magento developers, providing guidance on development processes, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee the customization, extension development, and integration of third-party services and APIs.
• Ensure high code quality by setting development standards and enforcing best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and designers to ensure project requirements are met with the best technical solutions.
• Lead the migration of existing systems to Magento 2 where applicable.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Magento 2 platform advancements and industry trends.
• Drive innovation within the team, exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Oversee DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment and continuous integration processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly to ensure minimal disruption to production systems.

Requirements:
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 4+ years in Magento 2 architecture and development.
• Expert-level proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Extensive experience with Magento 2 backend and frontend development, including custom themes and modules.
• Strong understanding of Magento APIs, custom integrations, and third-party service integration.
• Knowledge of eCommerce security, SEO, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage technical teams.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of designing solutions for complex challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Magento 2 certifications (e.g., Developer, Developer Plus, or Solution Specialist).
• Experience with cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and headless Magento implementations.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience leading remote development teams.
