Our client within the Education sector is seeking a Temporary Receptionist for their Newcastle site to start immediately for at least a month. We are seeking an experienced, professional and well presented Receptionist to engage and be a brand ambassador for all guests and students.

It will be based onsite 5 days a week and a pay rate of £12p/h.

Role and responsibilities
• To cover the Reception/Welcome desk on a daily basis, providing a first point of contact for all internal and external customers
• To promote a positive and welcoming first impression when greeting staff, students and the public
• To Assess and resolve wide ranging and often complex student, staff and public queries for a busy student Centre and when required, the more complex requests to the relevant individuals and/or departments
• Actively promote and build good working relationships with all staff and liaise with the relevant individuals and/or teams where necessary, both within the company and externally, whilst at the same time handling time-dependent, sensitive and confidential data.
• Taking deliveries for a range of different departments and contacting relevant staff members where appropriate
• Taking a high number of student parcel and post deliveries throughout the day monitoring, logging and distributing them within the agreed timescales.
• Assist and participate with the Induction process for new students, checking paperwork and visa documentation for BRP card collection.
• Assist and participate with letter creation and collection for students, such as, Bank/Police, Council tax and Schengen visa letters.
• Responsible for managing the internal inbox.
• Arranging appointments for members of staff, including members of the Senior Management team and Centre Director.
• Assist with arrivals and departures of students for accommodation.
• Assist with Arrivals and Events in Centre, outside of normal working hours.
• Coordination of staff travel, expenses and away days as and when required.
• To agree with key departments (including Admissions, Student Progress, Finance, Accommodation and Welfare) key reception procedures and good practice, as well as being responsible for ensuring that these are kept up to date in order to ensure excellent levels of service.
