Job Description



Qualifications
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required or up to one month related experience or training
An equivalent combination of education or experience may also meet the required qualifications
Valid Texas driver's license and an insurable driving record
Must have a Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer License or meet the requirements to be become licensed

Responsibilities

Perform routine safety and security rounds to ensure a secure environment
Respond to any incidents that threaten security of aquarium guests, staff, or facility/grounds
Provide excellent guest services by responding to guest inquires and requests
Monitor parking operations and direct traffic flow

Security Officer

Essential Functions

The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience.

Responsibilities
• Perform routine safety and security rounds to ensure a secure environment.
• Respond to any incidents that threaten security of aquarium guests, staff, or facility/grounds.
• Provide excellent guest services by responding to guest inquires and requests.
• Monitor parking operations and direct traffic flow.
