Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
3-10 years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with Python Development or SQL Server Development (preferably both)
Understanding fundamental design principles and has skill writing clean, readable, smartly commented code
C#, Java, or C++ experience
Experience with continuous integration and GIT

Responsibilities
The Engineer will be responsible for building the in-house risk management and reporting systems along with integrating and customizing third-party libraries that are critical to the operation of the firm
Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom risk management and reporting systems
Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence
Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Work directly with the business teams to translate requirements into functional applications

About The Company

Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Engineer will be responsible for building the in-house risk management and reporting systems along with integrating and customizing third-party libraries that are critical to the operation of the firm.

Responsibilities
• Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom risk management and reporting systems
• Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence
