Job description
ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE :
• Responsible for overall segment strategy including sales planning, product designing, strategic launch, training of sales force and monitoring of product performance
• Developing the customized product / proposition and continuously work on upgrading the same.
• Monitoring and managing the segment / product profitability.
• Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to gather insights, solicit feedback and build consensus for scheme design and implementation.
• Prepare progress reports, presentations and briefings for stakeholders and senior management to communicate project status, achievements and challenges effectively.
• Lead the cross functional team for technical and operational processes for successful launch of product.
• To monitor Priority Sector Lending (PSL) for the bank and work on increasing the PSL contribution into various PSL categories.
• Developing the detailed engagement plan for keeping the segment transactional.
• To publish periodic updates of business to the HO and Branch users.
• Working with marketing for regular BTL activity and managing the complete product communication and life cycle.

Business :
• Own the business segment and ensure the branches achieve their budgeted numbers for that segment.
• To manage the entire Govt initiatives product line life cycle.
• To manage the design, features and benefits of Govt products, volume forecasting & market share

Customer :
• Develop and implement suitable marketing / sales strategies to deepen customer relationships
• Ensure the process in place to resolve escalated customer queries / complaints within the prescribed TAT.
• Train the sales team to improve the products knowledge, product per customers by additional cross sell and up sell of Ujjivan products to the existing customers.
• To specify market requirements for current and future Govt products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

Internal Process :
• Conduct continuous review process for maintaining the product profitability margin.
• Risk Management for microbanking products and meeting compliance requirement for govt schemes
• To prepare product and process notes and to seek approval from various committee
• To monitor Priority Sector Lending (PSL) for the bank and work on increasing the PSL contribution into various PSL categories
• Maintaining govt schemes Product Program and other documents related to govt business.

Learning & Performance :
• Ensure that the reports within the team maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations
• Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs / certifications for self and team members.

Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self and reports.

To organize government initiative product trainings for launch, expansion and capacity building both at regional & field level.

Educational Qualifications :

MBA or equivalent in Marketing or Finance

Experience :

3-6 Years of experience in product management.
