Medical Billing Specialist

Qualifications
3-5 years of related experience preferably in a senior living or health care setting
Ability to handle a variety of situations in a tactful and professional manner
Computer literate in Microsoft Office products and billing software
Possessing exceptional customer service experience
Responsibilities
Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday
Monthly submission of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, Long Term Care Insurance claims and follow up
Verify number of Medicare days for new admits and re-admits
Verify insurance and initiate pre-certs as required
Monitor and record daily census information and generate census reports
Generate accurate monthly statements for residents
Coordinate benefits between Medicare and Medicaid; and for Family Care residents
Work with Department of Health and Human Services on Medicaid issues; and Medicaid and Family care eligibility issues
