PHP Developer

Job Overview:

The PHP Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of complex web applications using PHP, with a specific focus on the Yii framework. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience and will provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements within the given timelines.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support based on project needs.
• Deliver tasks as per standard estimations and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
• Enhance troubleshooting skills to resolve client issues efficiently and effectively.
• Seamlessly learn and integrate third-party APIs and project modules.
• Maintain a deep understanding of project code and the underlying business logic.
• Ensure client releases are bug-free and meet high-quality standards.
• Communicate task deadlines and regularly update stakeholders on progress.
• Adopt Generative AI tools to improve coding efficiency and best practices.
• Adhere to best practices, including OWASP security standards, to maintain application security.
• Take ownership of deployment processes and ensure effective communication with partners.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience as a PHP Developer or similar role with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Expert knowledge of PHP frameworks, particularly Yii, with additional experience in Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Experience with database design and management, especially with systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• In-depth understanding of web security, performance optimization, and SEO principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or lead a team.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• In-depth experience with Yii, PHP, and MySQL.
