The People and Safety Department plays an integral role in delivering on the outcomes of Council’s Corporate Plan and strategies, shaping and supporting a culture and work environment which puts people, safety and wellbeing at the centre of organisational design, function and decision making. The department sits within the Executive Services Directorate and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The team provides innovative, connected and forward-thinking people and safety functions to partner effectively with Council’s leadership, employees and other stakeholders to drive engagement, performance and accountability.The People and Safety structure comprises the following teams, totalling some 12 employees, located throughout the Southern Downs and granite Belt Region.

Your Opportunity

The key function of the role as the People and Culture Coordinator is to provide leadership and management to a small group of Human Resource professionals while providing ongoing support and assistance to the Manager People and Safety through the implementation, development and delivery of a range of human resource and workforce functions to Council.
