Job Description : Freelance Fashion Designer

Pinkvilla Media is looking for a talented and experienced Fashion Designer. You will be responsible for creating unique and high-quality clothing designs that are made with artisanal fabrics from unique looms

What do you need to do? (Role and Responsibilities)
• Researching and analysing current fashion trends, fabric types, and patterns to come up with fresh and relevant design ideas.
• Collaborating with artisans and textile mills to create unique, high-quality fabrics that align with the brand's vision.
• Developing sketches and creating detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software for textile and clothing designs.
• Selecting suitable fabrics, colors, and embellishments to be used in the final product.
• Working with the production team to ensure that designs and fabrics can be produced efficiently and within budget.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of the textile and fashion industry and keeping upto-date with industry developments and trends.
• Participating in the sample-making process and making necessary adjustments to designs. Who could you be?

Background and Experience :
• You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• You have a degree in Fashion Designing from a recognized university
• You have a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Passion for creating unique and high-quality clothing, designs and fabrics
• Experience working with artisans and unique looms would be highly advantageous.
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills
