Job Description

The Bank Compliance Analyst performs a variety of compliance duties to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the Bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS).

Key responsibilities include aiding the Chief Compliance Officer in the day-to-day management of the Bank’s Compliance Management System; perform monitoring reviews for flood insurance, HMDA and CRA data, and other compliance topics, as assigned.

-Perform day-to-day reviews of flood insurance documentation in advance of the closing date

-Perform reviews of HMDA and CRA data to ensure accuracy

-Conduct other monitoring reviews, as assigned

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in the maintenance of the Bank Policies and notifying department heads of upcoming policy reviews and ensuring that updated polices are received timely prior to scheduled board review dates.

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with tracking customer complaints and identifying applicable regulations and appropriate resolution.

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with the preparation of Compliance Committee and Audit Committee materials

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in updating and maintaining the Compliance Procedures Manual, including scheduling meetings with departments and tracking provided materials.

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in coordinating with the Learning and Development Officer regarding the identification and assignment of BVS computer-based compliance training courses

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in supporting the Bank’s CRA Officer, BSA Officer (including the Identity Theft Red Flags Program), and Information Security Officer (including the Vendor Management Program) in their roles

-Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in the preparation of the Compliance Risk Assessment and the reviews of the Fair Lending Risk Assessment, Identity Theft Risk Assessment, BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments, Vendor Management Risk Assessment, and GLBA Information Security Risk Assessment

Educational and Experience Requirements:

College degree or equivalent banking or business experience is preferred

Compliance experience is desirable

Knowledge of banking customer service principles and processes

Detailed-oriented previous work experience, preferable in banking, such as compliance, quality control, operations, or audit

1+ year of transactional banking experience

Strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication and listening skills

Strong spelling, grammar, and written communication skills

Strong computer and electronic skills using a variety of banking software applications; knowledge of MS Office and SharePoint is desirable

Strong critical thinking abilities

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Is regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, such as, a copy machine,

calculator, phone, and computer printer.

Must be able to remain in a stationary and seated position 70% of the time.

Is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as, viewing a computer terminal

and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned to self and staff.

Is required to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to convey detailed spoken

instructions to other employees accurately.

Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
