Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years or more of related experience required.
• Private equity experience a plus. CPA a plus.
• Mergers & Acquisition and integration experience a plus.
• Accounting experience within the utility construction or manufacturing industries a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and accounts payable.
• Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations as needed.
• Coordinates training programs for staff and identifies training needs.
• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, including monthly/quarterly/annual close, A/R, Cost in Excess of Billing, A/P, and financial reporting with support from the Controller.
• Review outstanding receivables and payables to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Reviews cash balances to monitor liquidity with the support of the Controller.
• Prepares weekly check run and provides to Controller for review and approval.
• Maintains and owns the general ledger for accuracy and completeness with the support of the Controller.
• Assists in external financial statement audits and tax compliance with the support of the Controller.
• Establishes and participates in implementing internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Prepares business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements and files non-income tax returns (sales/use, excise, personal property, etc.).
• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies with the support of the TIS Controller.
• Provides ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
