Job Title: Part-Time Controller

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Hours: 24 hours per week

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities
• Payroll Backup:
• Act as a backup for payroll processing
• Accounts Payable Oversight:
• Oversee and post all accounts payable.
• Review bank reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting:
• Read and interpret financial statements.
• Investment Strategies:
• Develop strategies for different investment funds.
• Month-End Reporting:
• Oversee the month-end reporting process.
• Monitor the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Budget Preparation and Presentation:
• Prepare and present the annual budget.
• Conduct finance team meetings twice a year and report to the board.
• Ad Hoc Duties:
• Manage business licenses, insurance policies, and assets.
• Review the depreciation schedule.

Qualifications
• Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
• Management experience.
• Plus:
• Experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Understanding of fund accounting and private grants.
