Staff Accountant

Our client, a rapidly growing service organization based out of Troy, MI is in search of a Staff Accountant.

Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our audit processes, managing journal entries, and performing bank reconciliations. You will be involved in month-end closing activities and assist with various audits, including tax and bank audits. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and organization of audit documentation.
• Perform month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Support end-of-month closing activities, including accruals and trial balances.
• Collaborate with the accounting team for journal entry postings.
• Assist with the implementation of SAGE Intacct.
• Generate and analyze financial reports using SAGE Intacct.
• Provide back-office support for other business units.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0-2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with SAGE Intacct is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
