Job description
Position Title: Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable

General Description: To Support Finance Department, Process A/P and assure accurate Financial Information.

Reports to: VP of Finance & CFO

Supervises: N/A

Salary/Status: Non-Exempt

Minimum Requirements
• 2 years of Accounting Experience, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
• Strong computer literacy including Accounting and Excel software experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
• Dependable with ability to work independently.
• Experience preparing simple financial and statistical reports.

Principle Responsibilities And Duties
• Maintain accounts payable, review, code and validate invoices against purchase requests/orders, assure proper approval of invoices and issue payments.
• Perform diversified accounting duties to maintain accurate accounting records
• Preparing of assigned monthly and year end general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing of required cost reports, UDS, UFR and other assigned financial reports.
• Reconcile accounts payable, patient accounts receivable and other assigned accounts regularly.
• Work with other departments to bring about cost reductions or procedural changes beneficial to the health center.
• Prepare and make bank deposits and transfer requests as needed.
• Assist Departments with Purchasing, manage credit card use and access.
• Maintain confidentiality of all fiscal information.
• Other duties deemed appropriate and at times selected by the CFO.

This position requires the ability to use a computer workstation and related accounting software.

From time to time, this position requires the ability to work long and flexible hours, partial remote work negotiable.
