About The Company And Senior Accountant Opportunity
• CFS is partnering with a new client in the PE/clinical research industry to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team on a fully remote, contract to hire basis
• This position will ideally begin within a week for the selected candidate after an interview
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST, 40 hours per week. Can be somewhat flexible if needed
• This position is 100% REMOTE for US candidates
• Company will ship equipment to candidates, but all candidates should have reliable home WiFi
• Pay: $35-41/hour depending on experience

Job Duties For The Senior Accountant
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries for financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliations, including but not limited to, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Monitor the cash flow movements and complete regular cash flow forecasting.
• Assist the Finance Manager in preparing the monthly Financial Reporting Package and other monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end close duties. Record the assigned monthly and quarterly journal entries as needed.
• Consult with external auditors and accurate preparation of schedules for the annual audit.
• Adhere and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.

Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
• Bachelors in Accounting or related field required
• 5-7 years of accounting experience required
• Must be strong with balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience using NetSuite preferred but not required
• Previous experience using a variety of accounting systems beneficial in place on NetSuite
• Proficiency with Excel; ability to do pivot tables a big plus
• Knowledge of the clinical research industry a big plus
