Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Cassopolis, MI

Responsibilities Of The Accounting Manager
• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Handle month-end close processes and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Utilize accrual accounting methods to maintain accurate financial records.
• Process recurring payroll for 151 employees using ADP.
• Manage cost centers and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
• File sales and use tax returns, with a focus on Virginia and Michigan.
• Assist with SAP system implementation and management (SAP is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications Of The Accounting Manager
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of debits and credits and general ledger management.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Proficient in accrual accounting methods.
• Experience filing sales and use tax returns is highly beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
