We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounting procedures, managing the general ledger, conducting month-end close, and preparing SEC reporting. If you are an expert in financial analysis, detail-oriented and have an unyielding integrity, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will
• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in the technology industry.
• Conduct full-cycle accounting operations including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash Receipts, General Ledger, Revenue and Asset Accounting.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
• Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries.
• Create and maintain detailed financial reports that include cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, variance, and analysis statements.
• Prepare and coordinate the audit process, liaise with external auditors, and manage financial reporting.
• Comply with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, and advising management on required actions.
• Prepare SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA or similar certification is highly desirable.
• 3+ years as a Senior Accountant (5+ years accounting)
• Experience or exposure to SEC Reporting
