About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated, analytical individual with strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, works well with others and has strong communication skills. The purpose of our Staff Accountant position is to support the Controller and Finance Director on all financial affairs including but not limited to reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing customers, forecasting, budgeting, organizing, updating financial procedures, and building financial reports.

Responsibilities

· Support month-end and year-end close processes

· Assist our Controller on all general accounting duties

· Aid in accounts payable and receivable responsibilities

· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

· Assist the Finance Director in forecasting and budgeting

· Aid with the compilation, sorting, and presentation of financial data for analysis and strategic decision making

· Work with our main software programs: QuickBooks, Excel, WooCommerce, Webgility, and Taxjar

Required Qualifications:

· 2+ years of prior experience

· Intermediate experience in QuickBooks and MS Excel

· Associates or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree field preferred (proven experience in the roles outlined applicable)

· Accounts payable and receivable experience

· Multi-tasker with excellent focus on accuracy

· Organized and efficient with a strong attention to detail

· Experience with compiling and creating FP&A reports and presentations

· Strong understanding of GAAP Principals & financial reporting

· Work effectively in fast-paced environment & manage multiple priorities

Bonus Qualifications:

· eCommerce experience or knowledge

· Amazon Seller Central experience or knowledge

· Sales tax knowledge

· Process improvement experience

· Cash planning experience
