Part|Time Staff Accountant

We are inviting applications for the role of Part-Time Staff Accountant in S. Burlington, Vermont. The role is pivotal to our operations and involves the management of accounts payable and receivable, general ledgers, and bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will be a part of our team, offering a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable (AP)

• Management and maintenance of accounts receivable (AR)

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintenance and updating of the general ledger on a regular basis

• Preparation and posting of accurate journal entries

• Actively participating in the month-end close process

• Ensuring the accuracy of customer credit records and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to accounts and transactions

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when required

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations
