Staff Accountant

Job description
Roth Capital Partners seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The Senior Staff Accountant is an integral part of our accounting team, supporting the Controller.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
• Process payroll to be submitted to 3rd party payroll service. To include broker commission payroll, semi-monthly, quarterly and year end processing and filing.
• Entries relating to payroll and revenue recognition.
• Fixed asset processing and reporting.
• Maintain and review bank account activity. Prepare and review wires, ach, and GL entries related to such activity.
• Prepare and file related payroll tax deposits when necessary.
• Assist with property tax filings and other misc-filings.
• Assist Controller with the year-end audit.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 3-5 years’ experience.
• Payroll processing, review of quarterly and year end filing for accuracy.
• Strong Computer Skills, Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
• Accuracy in daily work and other projects.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Adherence to policies, procedures, and GAAP.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Salary Range: A base salary of $80,000-$110,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus. The actual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education and experience.
