Staff Accountant

Job description
Located in Sacramento, CA we are a leading E-Commerce company seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. (Salary $60k - $70k and role is onsite).

Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company. You will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and experience with SQL and general ledger tasks.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Review invoices for accuracy and process payments
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Utilize Excel and ERP systems to track and analyze financial data
• Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Provide support for internal and external audits
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Experience with SQL and database management
• Familiarity with general ledger tasks and month-end close processes
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
