Lab Technician

Overview

The Lab Technician plays a crucial role in conducting scientific experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring quality control in the laboratory. They are responsible for performing various scientific tests, collecting and analyzing samples, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Lab Technicians play a vital role in supporting research and development activities, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.

Job Location - Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) for stationary lab and Ooty/ Chennai for Mobile labs

Key Responsibilities
• Conducting laboratory tests and experiments
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Recording and interpreting data
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Assisting with research and development projects
• Preparing reagents and solutions
• Documenting test procedures and results
• Calibrating and validating instruments
• Participating in inventory management
• Collaborating with scientific and technical staff
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Performing quality control and assurance activities
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment

Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry
• Must be ready to work in rotational shifts and Mobile labs
• Good understanding a laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
• Ability to perform scientific experiments and tests accurately
• Attention to detail and precision in handling samples and data
• Familiarity with quality control principles and practices
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Understanding of laboratory safety protocols
• Capability to work independently and follow standard protocols
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
