Job Description:
The EMPLOYEE shall have the position of Senior Network Engineer. He/she shall
perform, among others, the following activities:
1. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers and peers
2. Continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of
applicable technologies (data center, SDN, public cloud, security, networking,
etc.)
3. Performs complex installations, upgrades, and maintenance and technical duties
supporting the operations internal and non-internal network
4. Assist in the development of network/security policies, standards, guidelines,
and procedures relevant to IT infrastructure
5. Works in collaboration with the network engineers, network administrators and
other professionals in network setup and configuration
6. Assess the existing network technologies to increase the performance, security
& efficiency
7. Sound understanding of the data communication needs, configuring components
and resolving any issues prior to implementation
8. Plan the network model based on existing network traffic and estimate the
growth of the network
+. Upgrading the network equipment from time to time, focusing on the effects of
the new equipment on the network performance and make recommendations
10. Must take into consideration all the factors that might affect the network
security
11. Maintain a proper record of the networks that are being designed via the
network documentation including network drawings, text descriptions and
equipment configurations
12. Communicates with the client, the team and NOC on a day to day basis to ensure
quick turnaround times, resolutions and maintain a robust environment
13. Interact with global customers and decompose goals into bespoke solutions
14. Proven ability to deliver complex network solutions from design to completion
15. Expert understanding of data center and WAN/MAN architectures
16. Expert understanding campus network technologies and NAC controls
17. Expertise with software-defined network technologies (Cisco ACI, SD-Access,
SD-WAN)
18. Subject matter expertise across Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
and IP multicast

20. Experience with network management tools such as Solarwinds, Netbrain,
Nagios, etc
21. Fast learner - able to grasp concepts from on-the-job training
22. Teamwork and internal customer skills
23. Ability to work effectively with vendors, staff, management and end users at all
knowledge levels
24. Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially when communicating
with internal or external customers
25. Thorough analytical skills
26. Proficient in handling multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
27. Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and demanding
environment
28. Responsible for the design, install, configuration, and lifecycle management of
all Network devices. [Load Balancers, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and cloud
networking products]
2+. Provides subject leadership for the design, engineering, implementation, and
management of enterprise networking solutions with high reliability and
availability
30. Introduces new networking technologies or improves existing technologies to
transform existing capabilities and services
31. Provides networking domain expertise to other teams as needed
32. Builds and maintains technical documents and plans for solutions and standard
operating procedures such that services are delivered in an efficient and
effective manner
33. Works independently and exercises reasonable judgment with little supervision
while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments
34. Interacts closely with management across all departments
35. Participate actively in engineering and architecture solution peer reviews and
solution design sessions
36. Perform other duties as assigned
37. Participate in on-call rotation
38. Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
