Senior Database Administrator

The DBA will work closely with the development teams to implement new features and enhancements on a new application as well as maintenance and support of existing applications in production.
• This experience should include a deep understanding of proper queries for NoSQL databases, experience with replication and sharding using MongoDB, and practical hands-on experience tuning database collections and shards to achieve top performance.
• Installation and configuration of MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases in multiple environments
• Hands-on experience on MongoDB Replica Set and Sharding.
• Hands-on experience in setting up highly scalable active-active architecture
• Experience in performing Mongo DBA operational routines.
• Backup/Restoration of Database through Mongodump/Mongorestore utility.
• Experience in Installing MongoDB, creating setup replica sets, data scaling, and clusters.
• Experience in tuning MongoDB applications using 3rd party tools MongoDB compass etc.,
• Experience in tuning and troubleshooting Replication Metrics, Throughput Metrics, Oplog window on MongoDB databases.
• Experience in deploying Ops manager on Mongo servers and monitoring databases runtime statistics.
• Monitor the MongoDB health and manage cluster health.
• Responsible for User, Security, and License Management.
• Creating, Stopping, starting, Recycling of the instances and MongoDB services.
• Work on MongoDB-shell to manage and perform DB activities
• Involved in IP whitelisting, peering, and other networking access-related areas.
• Involved in database users creating and customizing the roles based on the business requirements.
• Involved and managed the Backup and restoration of dbs, documents, and collections.
• Analyze and provide the fix for issues reported by the Dev -Team.
• Involve in the upgrade, apply patches, and maintenance activities.
• Generating charts and reports, creating alerts for proactive support.
• Collecting metrics to isolate the issues and finding the RCA
• Automate some of the administration processes
• Involved in the performance tuning process and advise to dev team on their code
• Interacting with MongoDB support, creating cases, and working with support on issues and bottlenecks
• Interacting with the Dev-team based on issues, outage/maintenance, and performance optimization
• Participate On-call support and weekend planned & emergency maintenance/outage activities
• Document the troubleshooting process and technical onboarding document on day-to-day activities
• Should work on critical incidents and user service requests and be responsible for SLA adherence, tracking, and reporting
• Good to have experience with services of Cloud technology
• PostgreSQL Architecture Installation Configuration Schema handling
• Database user roles and Security related permission
• User creation object Backup Restore Architect level.
• Experience in PostgreSQL cluster.
