Senior Accountant

Job Objective
Performs basic to highly complex revenue recognition, analyzes and records expenses, and performs balance sheet reconciliations in coordination with business unit finance and project management functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Revenue Recognition
Performs basic to highly complex reviews, interpretations, and verifications of monthly client project revenues to ensure accuracy of financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Statutory Compliances
Good knowledge of core accounting process includes day to day accounting activities and month end closure.
Hands on experience in TDS/GST calculation and filing of returns.
Handling statutory/ Internal audits by providing the audit back papers and smooth completion of audit

Expense Review and Analysis
Performs analyses of the firm’s direct and indirect operating expenses, actual to budget cost variances, and cost trends of basic to high complexity to verify that revenues and expense and related financial data is appropriately recorded in the general ledger.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Staff Oversight
Reviews the work of junior staff and provides direction on projects as necessary.

Performs other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

Expert knowledge of accounting practices and principles.

Expert knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel and other related Microsoft Office products.

Ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion.
Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Requirements: 8+ years of related experience.
