What you will do:
• Implement, Maintain, and Improve our Continuous Integration environment
• Support all aspects of the software build and delivery tooling
• Establish best practices around plugin and product upgrades
• Develop automated build, deployment and support tools
• Experience in setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery pipelines using all the tools above
• Bake in all operational elements into Amazon Machine Images/Docker containers, Monitoring etc.
• Assist the engineering teams by improving productivity in development integration and automation
• Improve our knowledge base and provide thought leadership in development automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Create automation scripts, UI’s, and continuous integration systems that enhance and expand our CI/CD services
The skills we require:
• At least 6 years relevant experience in DevOps
• Experienced in at least one script language (Bash, Python, Ruby)
• Experience configuring and supporting Jenkins using pipeline as code
• Experience with configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet)
• Experience with tools such as Git and Vagrant.
• Experience with tools such as Git, maven and/or other build tools
• Experience with one or more of the following: Artifactory, Nexus, or other artifact storage tool
• Good experience in containerization with tools like Docker. Should be able to create and manage Dockerfiles as part of the pipeline
• Also experience with Kubernetes as Container As A Service platform
• Linux system administration expertise
• Networking Knowledge
• Excellent written communication, problem solving, and process management skills
• Desire to work in a fast paced start-up, evolving, growing, dynamic environment
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Digital Ocean, VMware)
• Experience with agile development, continuous delivery/integration and automated testing.
• Applied experience with modern application technologies and design patterns including Cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, horizontal scaling, and database technologies
• Proven success working with and optimizing applications for large scale enterprise performance
• Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
• Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective
