Database Administrator

Job description

Mandatory Skillset : 5+ years on Oracle core DBA, Oracle EBS, Linux Basic knowledge. Linux scripting knowledge - added advantage.

Required Skill/Experience
o In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
o Strong Oracle Database Administration skills.
o Good exposure to Oracle database tools (AWR, ASMCMD, SRVCTL, CRSCTL)
o Proficiency with Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) and Backup and recovery tool RMAN

o Perform Apps / DB Bounces, Applying Data fixes, Enabling Workflow Mailer Logging, setting up Debug logs, Gathering Schema Statistics, Running RDAs (Remote Diagnostic Agent), Opatch and AD Utilities, collecting logs and traces & other DB commands.
o Experience with Load balancing of application tier, and setting up parallel concurrent processing
o Ability to fine-tune the concurrent processing in a large EBS environment
o Understanding SQL query execution plan
o Experience in one of the following languages: Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting
o Experience with Linux/Unix command line and command-line tools
o Proactively identify potential problems and issues and actively communicate and manage issues for resolution.
o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
o Ensure issues are analyzed discussed and resolved in a timely manner.
o Experience working in 24/7 3 shifts operations
