Job Title: (ITI Candidate) - Li Ion Battery Assembly Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ITI candidate specializing in Li Ion Battery Assembly to join our team. As a Li Ion Battery Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of Li Ion batteries used in various applications. Your expertise in battery assembly processes, equipment operation, and quality standards will be crucial to ensure the efficient production of high-quality battery packs.
Responsibilities:
• Perform battery cell inspection, sorting, and preparation for assembly.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to assemble Li Ion battery packs according to specified requirements.
• Handle battery pack components, such as cells, casings, connectors, and insulating materials, ensuring proper placement and alignment.
• Operate assembly equipment, including spot welders, ultrasonic welders, heat sealers, and automated assembly lines.
• Conduct quality checks at various stages of the assembly process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations or defects encountered during production.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to implement process improvements and optimize battery assembly procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with environmental regulations and handle hazardous materials according to established guidelines.
Requirements:
• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in a relevant trade, such as electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience in Li Ion battery assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of battery assembly processes, including cell preparation, interconnection techniques, and sealing methods.
• Familiarity with battery assembly equipment and tools, such as spot welders, ultrasonic welders, and heat sealers.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and ability to perform visual inspections and functional tests on battery packs.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow assembly instructions, SOPs, and safety protocols.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve assembly issues.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any concerns or deviations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment, meeting production targets and deadlines.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and understanding of hazardous material handling protocols.
