We are looking for Software Developer.
QLO builds a large Laravel Application with over 2000 routes. Servicing all departments of the company. Document generation, financial tracking, KPIs for all teams, Helpdesk system, Communication (Email, Fax, Voicemail, Phone). We're constantly adding and innovating new ideas onto the system and will continue to do so to help our internal teams be more efficient and track company goals/kpi's.
Our developers need to be well-rounded technologists who have a holistic understanding of the web technology stacks that we work with and are able to interface with other team members in a professional way.
We’re not looking for rockstars, zombies, or magicians. We’re looking for motivated, creative, and resourceful developers who want to help build a product that will help our firm continue to live on the edge, constantly pushing the envelope to make our internal teams stronger.
Qualifications
You must be cross-functional in your ability to switch between developing for the front-end, back-end and a dev-ops context. Every developer will have a chance to touch every aspect of the codebase and participate in infrastructure planning and implementation.
Our primary development language is PHP Laravel. You must be fully fluent in PHP and have worked with it in a professional context before. Laravel Framework is a must.
Prior experience with Laravel is a major plus. If you haven’t worked with Laravel, but have another framework, we can certainly show you the ins & outs of Laravel.
Front End Stack used: Bootstrap, jQuery/Ajax, NodeJS Web sockets.
We leverage API's and Services: AWS S3, Redis, Microsoft Graph, Dropbox, Facebook and more. Knowledge of APIs Creating and Utilizing.
QLO maintains a RESTful API for both public and first-party consumption.
You should feel comfortable at a Unix command line, even if you aren’t an expert.
You must know your way around git and understand version control well, and be able to carry out typical operations with it, including branching, merging, submitting code for peer review, and reviewing your peers’ code yourself.
We apply Scrum as a development methodology, and broadly endorse Agile as a philosophy. You must be open to working this way as well, and prior experience is a plus. We have a daily stand-up meeting (virtually) and you are expected to attend and participate in all scrum ceremonies.
You should also have very strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to wield them with both team members and other internal departments
You need to have knowledge in Office tools such as knowing and filling out documents and letters.
