Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical design and implementation of production ready code, partnering closely with rest of team (Engineers, QA, Solution Manager )
Troubleshoot, resolve and research production issues as well as work with development to make enhancements and fix bugs
Work closely within the team to define feature priorities, deliveries, and product schedules
Help Integrate POS with payment hardware and configuration
Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
Participate in requirements gathering and documentation
Lead the non-functional aspects of the solution which includes security and performance
Live and breathe the agile mindset and work in a fast paced scrum environment
Consistently deliver quality shippable software to our customers, being part of our Agile development team
Produce technical documentation as needed.
Help foster a culture of knowledge building across the team
Qualifications and Skills required:
Significant experience (5 years) in an object-oriented language. ( C# / .NET preferred)
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server operations/usage (not management, though that would be a plus)
Significant experience working in a large software product throughout its lifecycle - from conception into release and into support
Clear understanding core object-oriented development principles
Demonstrated trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience with source control tools ( GitHub, SVN, etc.)
Ability to train / mentor others - through code reviews, ad-hoc presentations, or more formal procedures
Good understanding of Agile Methodologies and SCRUM
Experience in the following preferred but not required:
Experience with Typescript
Experience with automated testing of code both on the unit and acceptance level
Knowledge of design patterns
Experience in credit-card / payments development / issues
Web Services/API development
Experience with virtual machines
