Ford Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDI&A) is a global team responsible for the strategy & delivery of 360 data services, modern business intelligence, and advanced analytics solutions powering Ford. This enables Ford to operate as an analytics-driven business in a competitive marketplace.

We are seeking experienced Data & Analytics professionals to add to our product teams to drive the next generation of products. GDI&A Cloud Data Engineers work in a Product Management Delivery model working end-to-end with business partners, analytics managers, product owners, product designers, data scientists, business intelligence engineers, and software developers to deliver analytics innovation.

This is an exciting and fast-paced role, which requires exceptional technical data and analytics skills with the opportunity to create huge impact to Ford business.

SupplyChain 360 Product Line: Leads design and product teams with create the operational core data capability for Ford. Includes ETL processes, multi-tier data model designs and implementations, data quality strategy & monitoring, plus domain expertise of data sets in the environment, third-party data evaluations, data quality, creating intelligence layers for ease of use.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Practice software engineering excellence while developing web applications and tools from a backlog, employing pair programming and other practices.
• Work with application development teams and be a change agent
• Help PDO teams adopt new ways of working and contribute to Ford’s institutional knowledge
• Advocate the use of Agile principles and other proven practices such as test-driven development (TDD)
• Become an experienced software engineer that can mentor teams on Agile ways of working, producing well-crafted code

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 7 + years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• 3+ years of Experience in Angular
• Passion to become a Software Engineer who’s proud of clean code
• Strong desire to learn new skills and apply to solve business problems/opportunities

Desired Skills:
• Full-stack experience
• In depth knowledge of any programming language
• Automated Testing experience (Unit, Integration, E2E)
• Familiar with deploying to cloud platforms, preferably GCP or AWS
• Delivered products that include web front-end development; JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, etc.
• Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, Gradle, etc
