Job Description : SW Engineer Backend Developer
• Develop back-end SW for the business intelligence team to build and maintain database infrastructure, storage, security and server-side functions for web applications such as configuration management, generating dynamic web pages, processing business logic, connecting databases and control user interactions
• Carryout benchmarking activities for Backend platforms & SW solutions to evaluate differentiating factors such as performance, cost, execution speed, latency, resource optimization and OS overheads
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand, define and document SW requirements for back-end SW development activities
• Collaborate with Front-end developers and the android/iOS development teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Participate in code reviews & cross functional discussions such as xFMEA & FTA
• Develop & build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Collaborate with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
To Be Successful, You Will Be Expected To
• Write, troubleshoot and debug reusable code to develop functional web applications in JavaScript/ JAVA/ Python/ GO
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance of web applications
• Implement authentication, authorisation Qualification microservices
• Setup request-response-application and error logging
• Configure, test and verify Asynchronous communication channels
• Manage securityof database information in S3 buckets thru environment variable configuration of parameters
• Implement throttling and rate limiting on application servers
• Build, deliver, test and qualify backend SW versions on a continuous integration framework
• Integrate and configure APM (Application Monitoring Tool(s)) such as NewRelic and search engines for dB queries into back-end SW releases
• Develop SW to integrate back-end components such as Logic, Frameworks, databases, middleware and APIs
• Demonstrate compliance of SW deliverables to the departmental & organizational processes, procedures & practice
You Must Have
• B.Tech/MTech in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in back-end SW development
• Demonstrated experience in delivering back-end solutions for web applications including but not limited to integration of user features, Database management, setting up asynchronous communication and implementation of authorization and authentication frameworks
• Working knowledge in deployment and maintenance of web applications with NodeJS
• Demonstrated experience of implementing event-driven asynchronous communication/ I/O frameworks
• In depth understanding of any Relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
