Sr Database Admin- Oracle DBA
Job Duties
• Apply experience with cloud technologies (i.e., Oracle ExaCS/Exadata, AWS, PostgreSQL, Oracle Cloud multitenant) to configure, deploy, troubleshoot & resolve highly complex technical issues on multi-cloud platforms.
• Plans, installs, and manages Oracle technologies like Exadata Architecture, Real Application Clusters (RAC), High Availability Data Guard, Golden Gate and Oracle Enterprise Manager [OEM].
• Conducts Backup and Recover, RMAN, PG Dump, BART, ZDLRA, disaster recovery plans and testing utilizing knowledge of various restore and recovery scenarios.
• Conducts Performance tuning, Memory Management, Parallel Query, optimizer and SQL/Query Tuning, Security, OEM, and other relational database design.
• Supports On-Call Operations to provide 24x7x365 support to maintain customer OLAs and SLAs. Utilize Python, Perl, Shell, or other programming languages Responsible for hands on interaction with large database management systems.
• Coordinate individuals and groups to meet database requirements in a complex, time-sensitive environment.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field with 10 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in database administration, information technology, and database architecture; OR Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field and 8 years of experience in database administration, information technology, and database architecture.
