Database Administrator

Full–time
Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance and support to Application Developers.
• Assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning.
• The process works accurately and in a timely manner.
• Always pay attention to detail.
• Manage SQL Jobs.
• Import DATA, EXPORT DATA, and Manage DATA in DB.
• Having knowledge in Azure Function, ADFS, and Azure DB.
• Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements.
• Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use.
• Configure & Monitor Performance/Storage/Memory alerts on all Production Azure Servers to
• ensure high availability of data.
• Strong database migration experience.
• Expertise and experience monitoring Azure workspaces, VM’s, VM drives, Memory, etc.
• Having experience in Performance tuning, Indexing, query optimization, etc.
• Having working experience in external monitoring tool
• Assist to define data retention policies and automation.
• Estimating storage costs and defining data storage strategies.
• Experience in Database Security and vulnerability remediation.
• Analyse SQL query plans and suggest and implement solutions to support developers.
• Document and build up a knowledge base on solving potential issues, and best practices, regarding Database operations and share the best practices with the team.

Experience and Skills Required:
• 5 to 10 years’ experience working as a database administrator or a related role.
• B.Tech. /B.E. Computers (IT), M.Sc. (IT), M.C.A with minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Developer.
• Experience and proficiency with MS SQL Server.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Azure database design and development.
• Experience in dealing with complex queries and store procedures.
• Experience with MS SQL Server (2012 or greater) tools, including Query Analyzer, SQL Agent Jobs, Extended Events, Query Store and Profiler.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of Azure DB as a service.
• Experience in database migration from on-premises to azure.
• Any Microsoft SQL Server Database certification will be added advantage.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

• This role reports to Sr. Director – Engineering
