Responsibilities
• Driving simple to complex projects, initiatives, standards and guidelines from technology perspective within agreed timelines
• Mentoring and leading teams that will write/enhance a lot of high-quality code mostly in Java for one or more of our Microservices development
• Working closely with other product, business and technology leaders to ensure business requirements (functional and non-functional) are met
• Driving functional and non-functional design & development of tasks/components from inception to closure
• Work closely with product owners to prioritize and influence roadmap and backlog
• Ensuring all code that your team produces is maintainable, resilient, efficient, and configurable
• Ensuring all code that your team produces is rigorously tested through various tiers of automated pyramid testing including unit, and integration testing
• Leading an agile team, looking for ways to continuously improve through asking for and providing junior, peer and leadership feedback
• Effectively communicate and collaborate both within and outside the teams
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• You should have a hunger to learn! We want people who are curious and eager to develop new skills
• 8+ years of experience writing Java/Spring based services with 2+ years' experience of leading teams of 6+ resources
• Experience in managing scale is necessary, along with the ability to manage ambiguous and complex requirements
• Proficiency in any of these is a plus: Spring Boot/MVC, Kafka, RabbitMq, AWS, K8s, Python, Docker, NodeJS, Mongo, and/or Redis
• Passion for exploring new and ambiguous areas at a fast pace
