Hostel Housekeeping Staff |Free Food Accommodation

Key areas of responsibility:

To ensure consistently high standards of Support Services (Housekeeping) and to ensure cleanliness of the assigned area of the hospital.

Main job Tasks;

· Ensure policies and SOP are followed consistently and look for areas of opportunity.

· To reduce the cost of materials & chemicals utilized for HK Services and to take appropriate steps to reduce the cost

· To adhere to quality protocols as per NABH standards and maintain monthly reports

· To adhere to infection control protocols and review & recommend for the changes if required.

· To ensure reporting to duty as per the duty roster prepared by the HOD and adhere to the duty timings.

· To ensure the cleanliness of the assigned area, machines, equipments etc.

· To interact with patients and to maintain a pleasant relationship and appropriate mannerisms with patients/bystanders (Customers)

· Participates in training programs.

· Maintain adequate stock of materials & solutions and receive items on time to time and whenever required.

· Responsible for the Wheelchairs, structure, cleaning equipments etc and responsible in maintenance and utilization of these equipments effectively

· Assist in maintaining CQI parameters and improve the quality of service provided

· Ensure and deliver medicines, structures, wheelchairs, lab collections, files, and other items on time as and when required and as per the orders of the authority.

· Ensure an empathetic and proactive approach to the staff and customers (Patients/bystanders) are followed

· Ensure housekeeping procedures and checklists are in place, maintained, and adhered to

· Make sure the assigned areas are cleaned within the given time.

· Make sure the rules and regulations including the taking of leaves are followed

· Make sure the cleanliness of the Utility rooms & the cleaning equipments before leaving the floor.

· Make sure that a detailed handover is been given to the next duty staff without any fail.

· Will perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Other Tasks ;

· Maintain MIS and send reports periodically.

· Controls cost and expenditure related to department stationery, telephone usage as well as minimizes wastage of electricity and water

· Ensures that the NABH standardization process is in place as per the deadline.
