Role Responsibilities

Assistant Vice President, Trade CoE R&C focusses on risk controls and risk reporting for Trade Operations units across the globe. The primary requirements of the role include:
• Collate exception details reported by Trade Operations Units under monthly control testing cycle, review for ambiguity and apparent correctness, challenge validity where required and present the same to T&WC NFRC as per set standard. Rearticulate/refine exception description, if required.
• Work with BRMs to adopt appropriate corrective measures to remedy the exceptions.
• Highlight thematic risk issues based on exceptions identified during control testing, operational risk events and issues logged in M7 to Global Process Owner (GPO), Trade Operations.
• Provide guidance to Trade Operations RPs and BRMs on risk management procedure and systems in the capacity of an “OR Champion.”
• Challenge existing processes, procedures and controls to explore more effective ways of transaction processing and monitoring.
• Review and revise controls based on trigger events/exceptions.
• Perform annual RCSA for Trade Operations.
• Completion of group risk register in M7 post completion of annual RCSA.
• Maintenance of group risk register to reflect changes required due to introduction of new risk/control/process or due to changes in existing risks/controls/processes.
• Act as Trade CoE SPOC for EUC policy related requirements.
• Provide guidance to BRMs/RPs for Trade Operations on control testing related queries.
• Monitor Group Risk Register to ensure if any country specific process/risk/control has been mapped to corresponding group attributes, the same is appropriate.
• Co-ordinating with Country and GBS BRMs for timely updating of exception detail and risk assessment detail in risk management system.
• Management and tracking status of ERR, Risk Events and Issues owned by GPO and ensure timely closure of the same.
• Performance of RCA for Operational Risk Events to be reported under ORMI.

People and Talent
• Ensure timely delivery by team members reporting to the role.
• Impart training and guidance for professional growth of the team members.

Key Stakeholders
• To effectively manage key stakeholders including Group Risk Framework Owners, Regional Risk Management teams, Country and GBS BRMs/RPs for Trade Operations to ensure effective and timely reporting of control testing exceptions and assessment of residual risk.
