Fully Rotational Shift Work (Early/Late/Night)

Hobart Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team to help shape what high quality and safe care looks like for our emergency patients. Hobart Private Hospital Emergency Department is a 9-bed unit, open 24/7 in the centre of Hobart City, adjacent to the Royal Hobart Hospital. It provides 24/7 medical, nursing and clerical services. The team prioritise a friendly and welcoming workplace, with a caring and professional approach to patient centred care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide immediate medical care to patients with acute injuries and illnesses
Administer treatments, monitor vital signs, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and support your team members to deliver family centred care
Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their care
Essential Criteria:

Minimum 2 years in and Emergency Nursing Environment
Current Registration with AHPRA & Working with Vulnerable People check
Commitment to Quality Patient Care & Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Works well independently and within a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient computer skills
Desirable Criteria:

Experience/certification in adult and paediatric resuscitation
Experience/certification in emergency triage, using the Australian Triage Scale/five-level scale system
Post graduate studies in Emergency Care or Critical Care
Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certification
