- Identify and repair damaged, worn, or lifting floor coverings in a timely manner, restoring surfaces to a safe and presentable condition
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment on site at all times, adhering to workplace health and safety legislation and company procedures
- Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and other trades to coordinate schedules, manage expectations, and ensure work is completed to specification and on time
- Occasionally install coverings to walls, ceilings, countertops, and bench surfaces as required by project scope
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials responsibly, reporting faults or stock shortages to the relevant supervisor

## Required Qualifications & Skills

- Completion of a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in floor covering, flooring installation, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience working as a Floor Finisher or Flooring Installer in residential, commercial, or industrial environments
- Proficiency in installing a broad range of floor covering types, including carpet, vinyl, timber, linoleum, and tile-based products
- Strong practical skills in surface preparation, including levelling, grinding, and the application of adhesives and screeds
- Ability to accurately read and interpret site plans, technical drawings, and material specifications
- Sound numeracy skills for measuring, estimating material quantities, and managing waste
- Knowledge of and commitment to workplace health and safety standards, including manual handling best practices and the safe use of tools and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a broader construction team
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of personal workmanship
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between project sites as required
