Job description
The Opportunity – Springwood Homes is seeking a goal-oriented, motivated, and reliable team player to join our company as Drafting Technician. In this role, you will support residential drafting projects and collaborate closely with our team to deliver high-quality designs. This position also offers opportunities to expand your responsibilities into estimating and sales, providing room for professional growth.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Residential design from preliminary drawings to production
· permit applications
· documentation and plans
· Analyze and optimize designs to improve efficiency, performance, and cost effectiveness
· Coordinate with engineering, production, sales, and other stakeholders as required
· Assist production with design related troubleshooting inquiries
· Qualify, manage, and transition sales leads through the pipeline

Qualifications:
· Completion of design technology program
· Experience in residential construction design an asset
· Experience with a variety of drawing software an asset
· Computer skills including MS Office
· Math skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
· Well organized and detail oriented
· Understanding of basic construction principles
· Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally in all situations
· Personable, punctual and great communication
· Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
